This S7000 installation monitors engineering equipment at Ukrtelecom’s head-office building in a distributed system designed by Business Comfort using S7000 modules from Neuro System. Four control panels contain S7000 distributed-control modules connected over RS-485, with intermediate relays for switching power equipment.
The main panel uses an S7386-50 PC-compatible controller based on an i386 processor. It is programmed in UltraLogik 32, which supports IEC 61131 programming languages. Panels serving floors 2–4 use S7050 digital input/output modules, power supplies and power relays. A PC in the electrical staff room runs the SCADA interface for monitoring and control.
NewLogic SCADA, supplied by ESTA, collects data from the main panel over Modbus, archives it for later analysis, records alarms and notifies staff, displays information graphically, and produces summaries and reports from archived data.
Electricians and the building dispatcher view system diagrams that bring lift status and fire information together. The S7000 platform’s distributed design also supports phased system expansion.
