Volodymyr Voloschuk

In 1998 graduated from Ukraine State Academy of Water Management (Rivne) and received qualification in hydrotechnical engineering. In 2005 graduated from National University “Lvivska Politekhnika” (Lviv) and got qualification in thermal engineering.

In 2001 a PhD thesis was defended and the Candidate of Sciences degree was awarded. The title of the thesis “Hydraulic resistances and calculations of pipelines with discretely changed rates of flow”. An academic title Docent (Associate Professor) was conferred in 2006. In 2018 successively defended a thesis on specialty “Mathematical Simulation and Methods for Calculations” and received a degree of Doctor of Engineering Sciences. The thesis was devoted to mathematical modeling of thermal systems based on thermodynamic approaches.

From 2001 to 2018 worked in National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Use (Rivne) first as a trainee, then senior lecturer and associate professor. Now has a position of professor and an active head of the Department of Automation of Thermal Processes in National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (Kyiv).

The research is devoted to the development and implementation of exergy-based methodology and tools (including application of Internet technologies) for design, assessment and automatic control of thermal systems.

Published more than 110 publications, including 90 scientific and 20 educational works. 10 papers are included in the Scopus database. Co-author of three monographs, one of which has been published in Springer (http://www.springer.com/gp/book/9783319266732), and three manuals.

Has been a responsible person in Ukraine for implementation of several international projects.

Smirnov Volodymyr Serhiiovych holds the position of professor of the department of automation of heat and power processes of KPI named after Igor Sikorsky. Author of more than 200 scientific papers. Research interests – automation of thermal facilities and systems, improving the efficiency of communication equipment systems of autonomous facilities.

Associate professor of Department of Automation of Heat and Power Engineering Processes. PhD (Automation of Control Processes), lecturer and leader of practical trainings, university coordinator of the international educational network EduNet created by Phoenix Contact, represents the university in “Association of Industrial Automation of Ukraine”. Has a sufficient practical experience in Industrial automation including PLC, SCADA/HMI, design and implementation of automatic control systems. Pays attention to the new scientific and practical directions, related to Advanced Process Control and Industry 4.0.

He has been working at University since 2009. Starting from the position of an assistant, he moved up to associate professor. Stepanets had defended his PhD thesis “Automatic Primary Steam Temperature Control System of the Once-Through Boiler with Variable Modes” in 2013.

As a practical engineer and researcher, he consults engineering companies in a fields of system design, PLC, SCADA/HMI programming, system commissioning. Some of his interesting projects are:

Bahan Taras was born in 1975, is Kyiv resident. In 1997 he graduated from the Faculty of Heat-and-Power Engineering of NTUU “KPI” in Kyiv and remained to work at the Department ATEP as an engineer. A year later, he continued his studies at the graduate school of the university, after which he worked as an assistant, senior lecturer, now – Associate Professor of ATEP. He is Scientific Secretary of the Academic Council of Faculty of Heat-and-Power Engineering. In 2016 he defended his dissertation on the specialty “Automation of control processes” and achieved a degree PhD. He continued to improve, and in 2019 received the academic title of associate professor.

Research interests include the construction and study of adaptive and robust control systems. He has scientific articles, textbooks and tutorials.

Teaches disciplines related to the design of automatic control systems, as well as CAD / CAE-systems. Bahan is constantly improving teaching methods, developing and implementing new forms of control of knowledge acquired by students. He is fond of football and tourism.

In 2009 he graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Lyceum and entered the KPI at the Department of Automation of Heat and Power Engineering Processes. In 2015 he defended his master’s thesis on “Synthesis of automatic control system using the method of dynamic correction for the control of inertial technological objects.” During his senior studies he took part in the implementation of an automated system of commercial and technical accounting of thermal energy at CHP-5. He studies the features of the operation and implementation of algorithms for control systems of inertial thermal parameters.

In 2019 he defended his dissertation on “Control processes automation of thermal power plant unit inertial channels using a two-channel fuzzy controller”.

Additionally engaged in web-technologies, development of Internet resources.

He is fond of team and individual sports, including swimming, football, billiards.

Serhii G. Batiuk, Ph.D. in Engineering, Associate Professor of Department of Automation of Heat and Power Engineering Processes, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”

Graduated from National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Department of Automation of Heat and Power Engineering Processes.

Worked at technical and leadership positions in Kyiv Institute of Automation, in private companies Polymatic (Ukraine), Armko (Ukraine), ControlTech (Czech Republic), Logicon (Ukraine), Klinkmann-Ukraine (Finland) , RAUT-automatic (Ukraine). Has taught in Kyiv Energy College, Kyiv Industrial College, All-Ukrainian International University for Human Development, Department of Automation of Heat and Power Engineering Processes (National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”).

Defended his dissertation in Kyiv Institute of Automation on the topic “Synthesis of technically optimal system of control of the formation of glass pipes with method of horizontal stretching”.

Professional interests – digitalization (automatization and informatization) of technological processes and industrial productions on platform of programmable logic controllers (PLC/RTU) and distributed HMI/SCADA/MES/BI-systems.

Teaches disciplines on subjects of automation of technological processes and industrial productions, hardware and software tools of automation, programming in control systems. Created first laboratory of programmable logic controllers at the department.

Develops scientific and practical methodology of simulation (software modeling) of automated technological complexes (cyber-physical systems) on the basis of complex engineering calculation of control systems.

The author of more than 30 scientific and methodological papers on automation of technological processes and industrial productions and implementation of software and technical complexes of control systems.

  2. Creation of manufacturing management systems (MES) and analytical reporting systems in industry and energetics.
  3. Programming in control systems. Programming of PLC Unitronics, CoDeSys, RAUT-automatic. Programming of HMI/SCADA/MES/BI-systems InTouch, System Platform, Dream Report, RAUT ESM.
  4. Creation of software-technical complexes (STC) of industrial control systems based on distributed client-server architecture. Implementation of cybersecurity in STC as hot backup, duplication and replication of software solutions.
  5. Simulation of cyber-energy systems (CES). Complex engineering calculation of CES. Modeling of technological processes in the simulator Matlab Simulink. Modeling of industrial productions in the simulator Simio Software. Modeling of business processes in the notation ARIS EPC. SWOT-analysis of CES functionality.

Bunke Oleksander graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Lyceum in 2002 and entered the KPI at the ATEP Department. In 2008 he defended his master’s degree on “Automation of thermal energy processes using neuroregulators.” Since 2008 he has worked at the ATEP as a training engineer and assistant. In 2014 he defended his dissertation on “Automation of control process of power plant boiler’s inertial loops using the method of dynamic correction”. After defending his dissertation he worked as an associate professor. Teaches the following disciplines: WEB-technologies, client-server software technologies. Responsible for working with the system “Electronic Campus” and web sites of the ATEP department and heat power faculty.

Golinko Igor Mikhailovich graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and Chemistry in 1996. In 2000 he defended his Ph.D. on the topic “Computer control system of a tunnel furnace”. From 1999 to 2005, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Automation of Chemical Production of the Chemical Engineering Faculty. Since 2005, he worked as a senior lecturer at the ATEP department. Since 2010 working associate professor at the ATEP department. Responsible for distance learning at the department. Golinko I.M. is the author of over 130 scientific and methodological works, including 5 textbooks and 1 monograph. At the department he teaches disciplines: “Technical means of automation”, “Automatic control theory”.

Research interest: modelling complex control systems; creating effective management methods for technical and technological systems. He is fond of microelectronics, tourism and martial arts.
