Within the cooperation with the strategic partner Schneider Electric, the Department of Energy Process Automation received technical means of automation to update the material and technical base of the laboratory of information and measurement systems and the laboratory of engineering systems of buildings.

Part of the equipment will be used for the development of robotics at the department, in particular industrial motors with encoders, servo converters, frequency converter, etc.

A large number of existing training stands with registrators will be updated with advanced HMI operator panels. The core of the information and measurement systems laboratory will be the Modicon M262 PLC.

A meeting of students of our department with representatives of the company “Global 17 East” took place.

Global 17 East is a subsidiary of the leading Swiss company in the design of power supply systems HHM Group with offices in Ukraine (Kyiv and Dnipro).

The team (about 60 specialists):

• most of them are engaged in the design of power supply systems;
• there is a group of OVIK engineers;
• there is a group of developers of plug-ins for Revit.

There was a meeting of students of the department with future partners – representatives of the engineering company “Octavis Engineering”, which is part of the “Octavis Group” group of companies.

“Octavis Engineering” is known for its innovative solutions in the field of automation in the pharmaceutical production sector. The company specializes in the design, creation and implementation of automatic systems and mechanisms, modernization of existing systems, as well as the implementation of robotic production lines.

We sincerely congratulate the students of NN IATE for winning the INT20H hackathon in the Mobile development category! Salyuk Vladyslav, 2nd year, IPZE department, and Taras Leonovets, 3rd year, AEP department – great guys! On March 3, the INT20H hackathon took place, an annual IT competition organized by students for students. During 20 hours, participants work on creating the latest solutions in the selected categories, pump up their hard and soft skills.

Employees of our department took part in the conference on March 1-2, 2024, which demonstrated the most vivid examples of cooperation between science and business in cluster associations.

Traditionally, in Ukraine, it is believed that there are big barriers between science and business that have not been overcome for years. These persistent paradigms have been supported by both science and business for so long that it sometimes feels like they “buried each other.” At the same time, a number of communities see the situation differently, and, in particular, the members of the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance have long been pursuing large-scale cooperation in various regions and industries.

There was a meeting of students of our department with representatives of the corporation “Ukrainian Atomic Devices and Systems”.
The strategic goal of the corporation is the comprehensive arrangement of industrial enterprises and organizations, covering the full cycle of work from the beginning of design to technical support during operation.
The main direction of the company’s activity is the creation of complex equipment and automated security and surveillance systems.

APPAU (Association of Industrial Automation Enterprises of Ukraine) summed up the results of the first year of the EIF (Export – Internationalization – Fundraising) program. The most important result is the launch of DIH in Igor Sikorsky KPI, which is the best among the available Examination Centers I4.0. More about the EIF program.

Volodymyr Voloshchuk, Head of the ATEP Department, visited Ukrinterm LLC. Together with this enterprise the project on development of low-temperature Smart-system of heat supply of buildings on the basis of the condensing modular boiler room is planned. Scientific and technical development involves the creation of low-temperature (with direct water temperature up to 50oC) heating system of the building on the basis of condensing modular boiler room by developing and implementing mathematical and computer models of such a system, applying criteria to justify its parameters and operating methods, also based on the introduction of the concept of “digital twin”.

Intelligent temperature and humidity sensors are located in the premises and auditoriums of the ATEP department. Thanks to the presence of a microprocessor module and a WiFi communication module, data is transmitted to the cloud via a wireless interface. Information is accessed through the WEB interface.

The system is currently in test mode. In the future, this monitoring of microclimate parameters will be extended to other floors and integrated with the control system of the heating point of the 5th building for the implementation of integrated control and management of energy consumption of the educational building.
